17 Jun 2009
Two major Internet resource management bodies in Asia will exhibit how the “Net” works for 650 million internet users in the region. DotAsia, the “.Asia” domain registry, alongside with APNIC, the regional IP address resource center, will showcase their services in CommunicAsia 2009, the biggest ICT industry event in Asia held in the Singaporean Expo from the 16th to 19th of June.
Ching Chiao, VP at the DotAsia Organisation said, “DotAsia is thrilled to participate in the CMMA event with APNIC, and APIA (Asia Pacific Internet Association). Asia not only has the largest Internet user population in the world, it is also the fastest growing. At DotAsia, we believe it is important to be engaged with an event like CMMA so that participants can get to know how the Internet is being developed and managed in the region. Most importantly, how people can be involved too” DotAsia plans to demonstrate how domain names can benefit people and businesses, especially SMEs in the region.
